Alma E. Ervin, 87, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, March 23, 1996, at Deal Nursing Home in Jackson.

She was born Jan. 23, 1909, to August and Emilie Wedekind Soehling at Whitewater.

She married Elmer Ervin on Dec. 1, 1933, at Jackson. He died in 1982.

Survivors include two nephews, Lyle Soehling of Kansas City and Harold Schweer of Cape Girardeau and two nieces, Alma Bock of Gordonville and Earline Cadwell of Florissant.

She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from noon to 1 today.

A committal service will be held after the visitation at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating.
