EAST PRAIRIE -- Alma Esther Chanley, 79, of East Prairie died Wednesday, March 31, 1999, at East Prairie Nursing Center.
She was born June 21, 1919, in Evansville, Ind., daughter of Henry Ervin and Sarah Jane Deal Flick. She and John Daniel Chanley were married Jan. 3, 1934. He died Sept. 27, 1986.
Chanley lived in East Prairie most of her life. She had worked at budget Laundry and Cleaners. She was a member of New Beginnings Church.
Survivors include two sons, John and Lacy Chanley of East Prairie; two daughters, Janie Parham of East Prairie, Susan Bradford of Peoria, Ill.; a sister, Orphy Moore of Pekin, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, and two brothers.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 5 p.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Marion Morton will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in East Prairie.
