Alma Baudendistel, 79, of Maryland Heights, Mo., and formerly of Perryville, Mo., died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, at Brookview Nursing Home in Maryland Heights.
She was born Aug. 24, 1923, at Uniontown, Mo., the daughter of Louis E. and Julianna Ponder Schott. She married Rudolph Weiss on May 4, 1954. He preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 1964. She then married Francis E. Gibbar on Jan. 28, 1971. He preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 1972. She then married Louis J. Baudendistel on Sept. 7, 1974. He preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 1981.
She was a cook at the Daughters of Charity, Intersection and City Tavern. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville and St. Blaise Catholic Church in Maryland Heights.
She is survived by four stepsons, Ernest Weiss of Perryville, Glennon Weiss of Wicksburg, Ala., Donald Baudendistel of St. Charles, Mo., and Louis Baudendistel Jr. of Perryville; eight stepdaughters, Barbara Huber of Decatur, Ill., Rita Laurentius of Maryland Heights, Darlene McLemore of Jackson, Joan L'Hote of St. Louis, and Velma Oswald, Doris Hoehn, Nancy Hagan and Marilyn Berkbuegler, all of Perryville; two brothers, Walter Schott of Perryville and August Schott of Quincy, Calif.; a sister, Hilda Meyer of Perryville; and many stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents, a stepson, three sisters and three brothers.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating.
Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
