MOREHOUSE, Mo. -- Alma Copeland Acord, 51, of Memphis, Tenn., died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at Grenada Lake Medical Center in Grenada, Miss.
She was born Dec. 12, 1949, at Morehouse, Mo., daughter of Claude Lee and Eva Lou Patrick Copeland. She and Mike Acord were married Nov. 27, 1970, at Dexter, Mo..
Acord had lived in Dexter and Bloomfield, Mo., and graduated from Morehouse High School in 1967. She was a real estate agent in Memphis, where she was a member of the "million dollar roundtable" with Crye-Leike Realtors.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Chris Acord of Memphis and Kevin Acord of Baton Rouge, La.; a daughter, Lindsay Acord of Memphis; a brother, Rocky Copeland of Morehouse, a half brother, Vince Chinell Copeland of Springfield, Mo.; a sister, Claudette Copeland of Morehouse; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. Monday.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
