MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Alline Crain, 88, of Daystar Care Center in Cairo, died Saturday, May 28, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
She was the daughter of Harry and Ruth Settlemoir. She married Joseph M. Crain, who died March 12, 1969.
Crain had been executive director and owner of Crain Enterpries Inc. in Mound City. She was a teacher several years at Lowell School in Mound City, and bookkeeper at C&S Variety Store. She was a member of Pilgrim Congregational Church in Mound City, and had been a member of Daughters of the Americna Revolution in Cairo.
Survivors include a son, James Crain of Mounds; a daughter, Nancy Nelson of St. Paul, Minn.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren, and a foster grandson.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. Thursday at Pilgrim Church.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery at Mounds.
