Alline Cain Bentley, 82, originally from Charleston, Missouri, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, at her home in Cape Girardeau. She was born Feb. 20, 1936. Alline and her twin sister, Olline Cain Cantrell, were adopted in 1939 and lovingly raised by Carl and Esther Cain of Charleston. Alline married Ernest Bentley on June 4, 1955. He was the love of her life for 51 years. They had one son, Carl Michael Bentley...

Alline Cain Bentley, 82, originally from Charleston, Missouri, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, at her home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 20, 1936. Alline and her twin sister, Olline Cain Cantrell, were adopted in 1939 and lovingly raised by Carl and Esther Cain of Charleston. Alline married Ernest Bentley on June 4, 1955. He was the love of her life for 51 years. They had one son, Carl Michael Bentley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, husband, two great-grandsons and her only son, Mike, and his passing broke her heart.

She was also a grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and great-aunt.

Survivors are grandsons Ernest Ray Bentley and family in Daphne, Alabama; Carl Michael Bentley Jr., Michael Bentley and Christopher Bentley and their families in the Cleveland area; and daughter-in-law, Margaret Bentley of Gallipolis Ferry, West Virginia. Also surviving are her niece and nephews, Cindy (Cantrell) Knudtson, David Cantrell and Derek Cantrell and their families in Cape Girardeau and Florida.

A private service will be held at a later date.
