ADVANCE -- Allie Croy, 90, Advance Route 1, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was born Dec. 22, 1900, near Advance, daughter of Riley and Mary Dennis McKinney. She married Ross R. Croy Dec. 29, 1919. He died May 23, 1983...

ADVANCE -- Allie Croy, 90, Advance Route 1, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 22, 1900, near Advance, daughter of Riley and Mary Dennis McKinney. She married Ross R. Croy Dec. 29, 1919. He died May 23, 1983.

Croy was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses in Advance.

Survivors include four sons, Arvil Croy of Advance, Charles Croy of Belleville, Ill., Ross Croy Jr. of Dupo, Ill., Bert Croy of Jackson; five daughters, Helen Rainey, Anna Cates and Bonnie Johns of Advance, Emma Cook of Fairview Heights, Ill., Shelby Matthews of Imperial; 26 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Gary and Doyle; an infant daughter; several brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Morgan Funeral Chapel. Bill Smith will officiate, with burial in Morgan Memorial Park.
