EGYPT MILLS -- Allene M. Pierce, 93, of Egypt Mills died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000, at Jackson Manor Nursing Home in Jackson.
She was the daughter of Henry and Minnie Brockmire Hengst. She married Albert Pierce Dec. 20, 1930, at Jackson. He died Aug. 17, 1987.
Pierce was a member of Scriptural Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include a son, Roger Pierce, and his wife, Sharon, of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Shirley McNeely and husband, Lewis, of Jackson, Maxine McFarland and husband, Charles, of Fredericktown; a son-in-law, Arthur Lueders Jr. of Egypt Mills; 24 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a daughter, Marion Lueders; three brothers, a sister, a granddaughter, and a great-granddaughter.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Scriptural Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3605 County Road 635, north of Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Henry D. Gieschen will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mark, Randy and Rick Lueders, David McFarland, Doug and Daryl McNeely.
