Allene Owen

Allene Carl Owen, 89, of Cape Girardeau went to her Heavenly home Thursday, July 23, 2020, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.

She was born May 20, 1931, in Hannibal, Missouri, to Albert C. and Lillian Herring Owen.

Miss Owen's family relocated to Illmo, where she attended school there. As an adult, she lived in Cape Girardeau and worked for the State of Missouri for many years, while caring for her father and brother until their deaths.

She was an active member of the Eastern Star.

She enjoyed crafting, crocheting and loved animals, especially cats and dogs.

She was an active member of the Church of the Nazarene in Cape Girardeau for many years.

Survivors include her church family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Howard Owen.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Jason Hill officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to Church of the Nazarene, 2601 Independence, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
