ALLEN REYNOLDS

MAKANDA, Ill. -- Allen Larry Reynolds, 72, of Makanda died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 23, 1926, in Clarkton, Mo., son of Ollie Dean and Catherine Allmon Reynolds. He and Nadene Frans were married April 14, 1951.

Reynolds had lived in Makanda since 1970. He was pastor of Makanda Baptist Church eight years. He was also director of housing at Southern Illinois University until retiring.

He was a member of Goreville Baptist Church. He served 22 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1966.

Survivors include his wife; a brother, Jack Reynolds of Mt. Morris, Mich.; two sisters, Shirley Burns of Steele, Mo., and Ollie Stewart of Nashville, Tenn.

There is no visitation.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston, Mo. The Revs. Ron Ferguson and Kenneth Curry will officiate.

McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
