Allan O. Friese, 65, of Oak Ridge died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at his home.
He was born April 8, 1949, son of Oda and Bernice Hellman Friese of Oak Ridge.
Allan graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1967. After graduation, he worked with his father and brothers in the family construction business for 47 years, retiring this year.
Allan enjoyed working outdoors and looked forward each year to putting out a garden and watching what he planted grow. He was already planning next year's crop.
He is survived by his mother, Bernice Friese; two sisters, Darlene Friese of Oak Ridge and Beverly (Jeff) Johnston of Pocahontas; three brothers, Dale Friese of Oak Ridge, Claude (Martha) Friese of Jackson and Glenn (Margaret) Friese of Daisy; five nephews, Chris (Veronica) Johnston, Travis and Austin Friese, Craig Friese and Brian (Shyenne) Friese; three nieces, Lauren (Ray) LeBelle, Sara (Cody) Davidson and Kaylan Friese; a great-nephew, Tatem Johnston; a great-niece, Klaira Friese; and stepniece and stepnephew, Abby Ramsey and Forrest LeBelle.
Allan was preceded in death by his father, Oda, and sister, Harriet Friese.
Allan was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sargents Chapel Cemetery Fund.
