PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Aline L. Valleroy, 85, of Perryville died Friday, May 22, 2015, at Independence Care in Perryville, surrounded by her family.
She was born Oct. 20, 1929, in Perry County, daughter of Lucas and Louise Bohnert Geringer. She and William J. "Brushy" Valleroy were married Sept. 13, 1947. He preceded her in death Feb. 27, 1972.
Aline was a very loving and much loved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. After the death of her husband, she worked in housekeeping at Gilster-Mary Lee until retiring. She loved family gatherings at the family farm near Longtown, Missouri. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, VFW Post 4282 Auxiliary and was a past member of American Legion Post 133 Auxiliary.
Survivors include two daughters, Diane K. (Lawrence) Brown of Perryville and Sharon M. (the late Ray) Folkerts of St. Mary, Missouri; four sons, William J. (Dianna) Valleroy Jr. of Jackson, twin sons, the Rev. Rickey J. Valleroy of Farmington, Missouri, and Randy A. Valleroy of Cape Girardeau, and Bruce E. (Robyn) Valleroy of Perryville; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Barbara Louise Valleroy; four brothers, Robert, Wilbert, Lonnie and Roy; three sisters, Leona Geringer, Mary Herold and Lenita Cattoor; and a son-in-law, Raymond Folkerts.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Church. The parish wake will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday. The rosary will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Rickey J. Valleroy officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the St. Vincent High School Alumni Association or to a memorial pavilion to be built in her memory at the family farm, c/o St. Joseph Catholic Church, Farmington, MO, or Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.
