Alida Roth

FROHNA, Mo. — Alida Roth, 92, of Frohna died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, at Independence Care Center of Perry County.

She was born March 9, 1916, at Farrar, Mo., daughter of Louis Steffens and Mary Verseman Steffens Hemmann. She and Gilbert Roth were married Aug. 11, 1946. He died March 22, 1976.

Roth was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and its Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Ladies Aid and Fun Club.

Survivors include a son, Phil Roth of Innsbrook, Mo.; two sisters, Hilda Slesak of Perryville, Oleen Saffell of Longtown, Mo.; a brother, Alvert Hemman of Brazeau, Mo.; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville and from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Rod Benkendorf officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
