Alice Logan Temm, 58, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014, at her home with longtime friends by her side.

She was born Nov. 1, 1955, in St. Louis, to Louis F. and Alice L. Temm, who preceded her in death. Alice was raised in St. Louis, graduating from Lindbergh High School. After moving to Cape Girardeau to attend Southeast Missouri State University, she chose to make the area her permanent home.

Alice is well known as a savvy, accomplished businesswoman in several fields. For more than 30 years, she was a real-estate investor, licensed broker and co-owner of the former Classic GMAC Real Estate Ltd. firm. She also helped develop and was a co-owner of Arena Golf Center driving range, mini-golf course and pro shop until she sold that interest in 2012.

Her great passion for the game of golf led her to become one of the founding investors of the Dalhousie Golf Club in Cape Girardeau. She envisioned a women's invitational event at that course and worked tirelessly to conceive and implement what has become "Rebecca's Run," an invitational event held each fall, for which players from several states travel to play on the award-winning Cape Girardeau course. Alice also played key volunteer roles in events held at Dalhousie for AJGA, Gateway PGA Junior and MGA Junior events.

She was a member of the Southeast Redhawks Booster Club and a great supporter of the university. She also worked diligently to benefit Saint Francis Medical Center.
