PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Alice J. Stark, 79, of Perryville died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at Independence Care Center of Perry County. She was born June 26, 1930, in Bollinger County, Mo., daughter of the late Albert and Myrtle A. Conrad Yount. She and Conway E. Stark were married May 5, 1951. He preceded her in death April 9, 1996...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Alice J. Stark, 79, of Perryville died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at Independence Care Center of Perry County.

She was born June 26, 1930, in Bollinger County, Mo., daughter of the late Albert and Myrtle A. Conrad Yount. She and Conway E. Stark were married May 5, 1951. He preceded her in death April 9, 1996.

Survivors include two sons Kenneth (Lisa) Stark and Alan (Brenda) Stark, all of Perryville; a daughter, Janice (Randy Joseph) Hoffman of Dexter, Mo.; a sister, Ruth Smith of Camdenton, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Kellen P. Stark, Conner E. Stark, Angela M. Sauer, Matthew A. Stark, Kristi L. Boles, Julie A. Hoffman, Cory G. Hoffman; and three great-grandchildren, Haley DuBois, Ryder Boles and Peyton Boles.

Stark was an insurance sales representive supervisor for Royal Neighbors of America Insurance Co. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Perryville Country Club and Ladies Golf Association and the American Legion Post 133 Ladies Auxiliary. She was co-organizer of PCC Ladies Golf Association, an avid golfer, and a former Girl and Boy Scout leader.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Everett Yount; and four sisters, Lulu Glass, Mildred Fischer, Mary Kathryn Ochs and Ollie Yount.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 6:30 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville.

Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran School Building Fund or American Cancer Society.
