Alice Rose Spillman, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, April 29, 2005, at Monticello House in Jackson. She was born Nov. 11, 1927, in Millersville, daughter of Luther Mason and Belvy Nell Niblack Proffer. She was a graduate of Jackson High School and worked in the business office of Southeast Missouri Telephone from 1945 to 1959. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, the Cape Girardeau Garden Club and the Cape Girardeau Genealogical Society...

Alice Rose Spillman, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, April 29, 2005, at Monticello House in Jackson.

She was born Nov. 11, 1927, in Millersville, daughter of Luther Mason and Belvy Nell Niblack Proffer. She was a graduate of Jackson High School and worked in the business office of Southeast Missouri Telephone from 1945 to 1959. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, the Cape Girardeau Garden Club and the Cape Girardeau Genealogical Society.

She and Tommie Ray Spillman were married Feb. 27, 1948, in Cape Girardeau. He died Aug. 1, 1987.

Survivors include a son, Donald Spillman of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Memorial Park, with the Rev. Scott Moon officiating.
