Alice Louise Rencher, 95, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, June 16, 2024, at her home.
She was born June 14, 1929, in Shuqualak, Mississippi, to Mary Willie Brandy and Sellus Mosley. She and J.W. Rencher were married Jan. 1, 1945, at Scooba, Mississippi. He preceded her in death March 19, 2022.
Alice was a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Mary (Francisco) Phillips of Cape Girardeau, Ann (Alfred) Mann of Oakbrook, Illinois, Earma Shipley of Kennesaw, Georgia, Patricia Jordan of Cape Girardeau and Kathy (William) Matthews of Florissant; two sons, John (Gwendolyn) Rencher of St. Louis and Ronald (Kenda) Rencher of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; brother, Edgar Lee Mosley of Cape Girardeau; sister, Vondell (Johnny B.) Howard of Scooba; 24 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two daughters, Bettie Graham and Brenda Jemison; son, James Rencher; and brother, James Edward Daniel.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, June 24, at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Monday, June 24, at the church, with the Rev. Howard McGee officiating.
Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
