Alice Nussbaum

JACKSON, Mo. -- Alice Mabel Nussbaum, 91, of Jackson passed away on Friday, Aug. 9, 2002, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 27, 1910, in Whitewater, Mo., daughter of August and Anna Grebe Eggimann. She and Arthur W. Nussbaum were married on Jan. 27, 1931. He died July 20, 1987.

Alice was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Gordonville, Mo., where she was a member of the Ladies Aid and Lutheran Women's Missionary League.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, David and Sarah Nussbaum of Gordonville, Mo.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Mildred and Clarence Grebing of Frohna, Mo., Evelyn Aumann of Decatur, Ind., and Marie and Joe Hoffmeister of Jackson; nine grandchildren, Rhonda and Kent Grebing, Denise Morrison, Martin Aumann, Laura Kukelhan, Sarah Butler, Martha Ahrends, and Andrew and Elizabeth Nussbaum; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, two grandsons, four brothers and five sisters.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson and after 9:30 a.m. on Monday at Zion Lutheran Church.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. The Rev. Karl Leeman will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church Organ Fund or the Lutheran Home.
