Alice Lee Day, 99, of 2852 Independence, died Friday, Nov. 15, 1991 at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 23, 1891 in Stoddard County to Jesse and Susan Cooper Grayum.

On Dec. 25, 1909, she married Alonzo Day. He preceded her in death Feb. 12, 1973.

She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge 508 in Cape girardeau. She was initiated into the lodge in 1943 and served as Noble Grand in 1946 and Past Noble Grand in 1947. She was of the Baptist denomination.

Survivors include: one son, Glendon "Sonny" Day of Scott City; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

One daughter preceded her in death.

Friends may call after 4:30 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. William Dickey will officate.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Scott City.
