STE. GENEVIEVE -- Funeral Mass for Alfred L. Lause will be said today at 10 a.m. at Ste. Genevieve Catholic Church.
The Rev. Richard Lause and George Wood will officiate. Burial will be in Valle Springs Catholic Cemetery.
Lause, 77, of Ste. Genevieve died Friday, June 25, 1999, at Fountain Blu Nursing Home in Festus.
He was born Jan. 19, 1922, in Washington, Mo., son of Joseph and Anna Elbert Lause.
He married Rita M. Greminger Nov. 19, 1946, in Ste. Genevieve. She died Sept. 20, 1976.
He was a member of American Legion Post 150 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2210 of Ste. Genevieve and was a past commander of the VFW post. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are sons, Gilbert Lause of Mount Vernon, Ill., the Rev. Richard Lause of Perryville, Rodney Lause of St. Louis, and Dwayne Lause of Ste. Genevieve; a daughter, LeeLonie Basler of Camdenton; a brother, Frank Lause and a sister, Adelea Buersmeyer, both of Washington, Mo.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
His parents and four brothers also preceded him in death.
Stanton-Wood Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
