ALFRED KAEMPFE

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Alfred E. Kaempfe, 92, of Perryville died Thursday, March 15, 2001, at Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born April 13, 1908, at Farrar, Mo., son of Wilhelm F. and Anna Mangels Kaempfe. He and Esther M. Koenig were married Nov. 15, 1936. She died Nov. 26, 1991.

Kaempfe was a retired farmer and a member of Salem Lutheran Church at Farrar.

Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Weber of Perryville; two sons, Dennis Kaempfe of Perryville, William Kaempfe of Frohna, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, a sister and two brothers.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Sunday, and Monday from 6:30-8 a.m.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Salem Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Robert Schneider officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
