JACKSON -- Alfred "Dick" Mirly, 84, of Jackson died Wednesday, June 21, 1995, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 16, 1910, in Oak Ridge, son of August and Angelina Hopfer Mirly.
He married Gertrude E. Rudert on Aug. 25, 1935. She survives.
He was a dairy farmer. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Shawneetown.
Other survivors are a son, Richard Mirly of Jackson; two daughters, Catherine Sieving of Nashville, Ill., and Janet Colyer of St. Louis; three brothers, Edwin Mirly of Advance, Herbert Mirly of Charlotte, N.C., and Oscar Mirly of Tulsa, Okla.; three sisters, Laura Mueller of St. Louis, Ester Carfiates of Overland Park, Kan., and Mildred Dost of Shawneetown; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Shawneetown, with the Revs. Howard Mueller and Ray Grant Mirly officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
