FARMINGTON -- Alfred Leroy Crandall Sr., 81, of Farmington died Thursday, Nov. 6, 1997, at Parkland Health Center.
He was born Sept. 20, 1916, in Springfield, Mass., son of Alfred and Rosemond Parker Crandall. He married Mamie Elders.
Crandall was a supervisor at Farmington State Hospital 25 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Alfred Crandall Jr. of Desloge; two daughters, Judy Mattingly of Bonne Terre, Marsha Asberry of Farmington; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Friends may call at Cozean Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Sunday. A Rotary service will be held at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Church, with the Revs. Tom Wissler and Al Rehme officiating. Burial will be in New Calvary Cemetery.
