SILVA -- Alfred Bennett Breedlove of Silva died Saturday, Jan. 4, 1997, at Doctor's Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff. He was 90 years old.
He was born Nov. 5, 1906, in Johnson County, Ark., son of Walter and Mem McFadden Breedlove. He lived in Gideon, Mo., before moving to Silva, Mo. Here he met Lydia Greener Breedlove, whom he married on Nov. 6, 1927. He was a member of New Hope General Baptist Church in Silva.
He is survived by his wife, of Silva; two daughters, Geneva Camp of Scott City, and Ruby Shrader of Jackson; three sons, Ray Breedlove of Hot Springs Village, Ark., Doyle Breedlove of Selma, Ala., and Jerry Breedlove of Leon, Kan.; two half-sisters, Arzilla Clark of Bradenton, Fl., and Jean Moore of Hot Springs, Ark.; one half-brother, Link Roberts of Fort Smith, Ark.; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. One son preceded him in death.
Visitation will take place 11 a.m. Monday at New Hope General Baptist Church in Silva. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the church, the Rev. Dan Ross officiating. Burial will be at Greenville Cemetery in Greenville, Mo. Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden is in charge of arrangements.
