CHARLESTON -- Alford "Dumus" Taylor, 95, of Charleston, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born April 1, 1900, in Aberdeen, Miss., son of Gus and Jane Taylor. He and Fannie Mae Fisher were married Nov. 23, 1963.
Taylor was a member of Ollie Grove Baptist Church and was head usher of Rush Ridge Baptist Church 25 years.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mary Miller of Mounds, Ill.; two grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home from 7-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Church, with the Rev. Roosevelt Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
