CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Alford "Shorty" Clark of Charleston will be held at 2 p.m. today at St. Matthew's Baptist Church. The Rev. James Robinson will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Clark, 58, died Saturday, July 4, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born July 12, 1933, at Hayti, son of the Rev. Sullivan and Delia Loggins Clark. He and Zola Mae Jones were married in 1960.
Clark was a farmer, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jeffrey Anderson and Anthony Hull of Charleston; four daughters, Judith Clark, Cindy Hull, Karisha Menzie and Angela Anderson, all of Charleston; five brothers, Sullivan Clark Jr. of Essex, Charlie Clark of Charleston, Delmon Clark of St. Louis, Shermen Clark of Rockford, Ill., L.C. Clark of Chicago; two sisters, Mary Sanford of Charleston and Elizabeth McElmurry of St. Louis.
