Mary Aleen Leible, 83, of Scott City died Thursday, July 22, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 14, 1921, at Lowndes, Mo., daughter of William and Emma Dorris Hamm. She first married Lester Gaines in 1940. He preceded her in death. She and Louis Alfred Leible were married Aug. 12, 1949. He died Sept. 19, 1989.
Leible was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 6407, Ladies Auxiliary to Knights of Columbus Council 6420, all in Scott City.
Survivors include three sons, George Hamm of Scott City, Leon Gaines of Blevins, Ark., Leroy Gaines of Hope, Ark.; a daughter, Emma Arrowwood of Prescott, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. A VFW Auxiliary service will be held at 6:15, and the rosary will be recited at 6:30.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. David Coon officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
