ALBERTA THURSTON

PERKINS -- M. Alberta Thurston, 65, of Scotts, Mich., died Monday, May 19, 1997, at her home.

She was born Sept. 23, 1931, in Perkins, daughter of John and Mabel Creed Arnold. She married Harry Thurston Sr., who preceded her in death.

Thurston lived at Perkins and Oran most of her life before moving to Kalamazoo, Mich., 15 years ago.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Lipes of Scotts; a son, Harry Thurston Jr. of Gobles, Mich.; a sister, Marcia Roberts of Oran; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers, and two sisters.

Friends may call at Langeland Chapel in Portage, Mich., from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the chapel.
