ANNA, Ill. -- Albert L. Young, 57, of Anna died Saturday, May 8, 1999, at his home.
He was born Aug. 10, 1941, at Anna, son of Melvin and Mamie Rector Young.
Young was retired from International Harvester Corp. He also was an EMT paramedic in Winthrop Harbor.
He was a life member of Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Young of Anna, Jerome Young of Japan; two sisters, Dorothy Holderfield of Herrin, Charlotte Robinson of DeSoto; two brothers, Carl Young of Goreville, Claude Stroud of Cobden; and a granddaughter.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden from 6-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Scott Harner will officiate. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery, with military rites by VFW Post 3455.
