Albert E. Overbeck, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, June 20, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born April 13, 1909, near Gordonville, son of William and Ellen A. Goza Overbeck. He and Viola Helen Simpher were married Jan. 24, 1933, in Jonesboro, Ill.
Overbeck was a truck driver in his younger years and later farmed. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and had been an usher.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Weldon Overbeck of Chaffee, Clifford Overbeck of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Wanda Lacy and Ruby Propst, both of Cape Girardeau; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, six brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grace United Methodist Church, with Dr. Larry Gallamore officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
