Albert N. Gerler of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Altenburg, died Monday, June 15, 1992, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau at the age of 77.
He was born Nov. 30, 1914 in Perry County, son of Martin and Emma Mueller Gerler.
He married Zadie Gamble on July 27, 1946. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Daniel Gerler of Gordonville; one daughter, Jean Barks of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Arnold and Vernon Gerler, both of Altenburg; and five grandchildren.
One sister preceded him in death.
He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church at Altenburg. He also owned and operated Gerler's Lake near Altenburg.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel at Altenburg.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Willard Kassulke officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
