HOWARDVILLE -- Albert L. Holbrook Sr., 80, of Howardville died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1998, at his home.
He was born Jan. 25, 1917, in West Point, Miss., son of the Rev. V.L. and Maggie Mosley Holbrook. He married the former Viola Jennings.
Holbrook was a retired auto mechanic, and member of Beebe Memorial CME Church in New Madrid.
Survivors include his wife; 13 sons, Albert, Clifton, John, Franklin, Lamont and Kirk Holbrook, Derrick Jones, Derek, Michael, Woody and Temothy McGee, Halbert and Gregory Wilson, all of St. Louis; five daughters, Lillian Johnson, Naomi West, Maggie Kidd and Brenda Wilson of St. Louis, Patricia Hunt of Seattle, Wash.; and a stepdaughter, Freddie Davis of St. Louis.
Also surviving are five brothers, Marion Holbrook of St. Louis, Walter, Danial and Maurice Holbrook of Flint, Mich., Roosevelt Holbrook of Orlando, Fla.; three sisters, Glorietta McIntosh of East St. Louis, Ill., Judy Dixon of Atlanta, Ga., Joyce Gordon of Flint; 18 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Beebe Church from 11 a.m. to service time Monday.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. E.L. Shockley officiating. Burial will be in Mason Cemetery at Point Pleasant.
Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
