Albert Jack Crader, 83, of Jackson passed away Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born July 8, 1931, in Allenville, to William Leo and Lenora Drennan Crader. He and Nelda Dalton were married Jan. 21, 1955, in Morley, Missouri.

Albert was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War.

He attended the Church of God in Jackson. He was a retired heavy equipment operator with International Union of Operating Engineers Local 513, and was a member of the union 56 years.

Survivors include his wife, Nelda of the home; a son, Kevin (Linda) Crader of Jackson; three daughters, Mariesa (Tim) Lesch of Jackson, Kim (Mike) Begley of Arbor, Missouri, and Brandi (Dave) Farris of Jefferson City, Missouri; two brothers, Joe and David Crader of Delta; three sisters, Joan Surface of Rockview, Missouri, Linda Hale of Jackson and Peggy Miles of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, Kia Abernathy, Michael Borgfield, Nikki Hodges, Albert Jack Begley and Jon Steinnerd; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Don Crader; and a sister, Kay Uhrhan.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Alvie Surface officiating. Burial will be in Hitt Cemetery near Arbor.
