Aileen Alice Scheper of 124 N. Henderson died Friday, Nov. 6, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was 85.
She was born April 23, 1913, in Deer River, Minn., daughter of Owen E. and Florence Todd Hulehan. She married Harry Scheper Aug. 15, 1936, in Benton. He died in 1966.
She was a graduate of Central High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University. She was a graduate of the St. Francis School and worked at St. Francis Medical Center as a licensed practical nurse for 28 years. She worked at Ratliff Nursing Home for many years after leaving St. Francis Medical Center.
She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, the Royal Neighbors of America and the L.P.N. Association.
She is survived by a son, Ronald A. Scheper of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Florence Vestal of St. Louis; a sister, Sheila Rivera of Corvallis, Ore.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel, with parish prayers at 7:30.
Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating.
Burial will be at St. Mary's cemetery.
