DEXTER, Mo. -- Ahleen Godfrey, 83, of Dexter died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born May 27, 1917, in Clinton, Ark., daughter of Thomas and Belle Harris Bonds. She and Clifton C. Godfrey were married Dec. 24, 1931, in Clinton.
Godfrey was a member of Pleasant Grove Church at Pyletown, Mo.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Harlan Godfrey of Vernal, Utah, Carl Godfrey of Grass Valley, Calif., Lawrence Godfrey of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Margie Elam of Dexter, Delores Williams of Kingsport, Tenn.; a brother, Floyd Little of Yakima, Wash.; a sister, Opal Johnson of Clinton; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
Friends may call at Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter from 4-7 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Leist officiating. Burial will be in Armstead Dowdy Cemetery near Dexter.
