CHAFFEE -- Agnes Christine Uhrhan, 60, of Chaffee, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 1995, at her home. She was born May 7, 1934, the daughter of Charles Vincent and Igenia Theresa Strack Griffin. She and Elmer Peter Uhrhan were married Nov. 7, 1951, and he preceded her in death March 20, 1976...

CHAFFEE -- Agnes Christine Uhrhan, 60, of Chaffee, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 1995, at her home.

She was born May 7, 1934, the daughter of Charles Vincent and Igenia Theresa Strack Griffin. She and Elmer Peter Uhrhan were married Nov. 7, 1951, and he preceded her in death March 20, 1976.

Uhrhan retired in 1994 as a machine operator for Florsheim Shoe Company in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of the St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee and the Daughters of St. Ambrose.

Survivors include a son, Mark Uhrhan of Chaffee; a daughter, Theresa Whitley of Scott City; two brothers, Oscar and Paul Griffin, both of Chaffee; six sisters, Cecilia Hindman, Shirley Griffin and Pauline Asmus, all of Chaffee, Genevieve Griffin and Mary Stevens, both of Hazelwood, and Helen Knudson of Fairdealing; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where there will be a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Ambrose Catholic Church. The Rev. Allan Saunders will officiate, and burial will be in St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery in New Hamburg.
