AGNES LESSLEY

Private graveside service for Agnes Irene Lessley of Cape Girardeau will be held today at Memorial Park. The Rev. Jeffrey Sippy will officiate.

Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Lessley, 84, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1997, at Beverly Health Rehab Center.

She was born May 26, 1913, in Bollinger County, daughter of Grover and Cornelia Lessley Slinkard. She first married Howard Fretty. She later married Herschel Lessley.

Lessley grew up in Cape Girardeau County, lived in Paxton, Ill., 10 years, and moved back to Cape Girardeau in 1956. She had worked at various restaurants, and was a member of Hanover Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Lucille Frank and Sarah Wachter of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by a brother.
