Agnes L. Webb, 81, of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, May 29, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 7, 1917, in Oran, daughter of Augustus and Teresa Hoffer Schaeffer. In September 1939 she married Leonard H. Webb. He preceded her in death April 5, 1994.
She worked for more than 10 years as a cook at St. Vincent de Paul School in Cape Girardeau and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church. She also held memberships in the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association and Colonial Senior Citizens in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include three sons, Leonard H. Webb Jr. of Mayfield, Ky., Michael John Webb of Lufkin, Texas, and Stephen B. Webb of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Mary Ann Hodge of Boca Raton, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel, where parish prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
