SIKESTON, Mo. -- Agnes A. Kesler, 93, formerly of Sikeston, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews, Mo. She was born April 18, 1908, in Ripley, Tenn., daughter of Thomas "Zeb" and Mary G. Meyer Gaines. She and Frank Kesler were married Dec. 10, 1926, in Blytheville, Ark. He died Nov. 16, 1972...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Agnes A. Kesler, 93, formerly of Sikeston, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews, Mo.

She was born April 18, 1908, in Ripley, Tenn., daughter of Thomas "Zeb" and Mary G. Meyer Gaines. She and Frank Kesler were married Dec. 10, 1926, in Blytheville, Ark. He died Nov. 16, 1972.

Kesler was a member of Rauch Spence Memorial United Methodist Church, member and former treasurer and president of United Methodist Women, former Sunday School teacher, and was active with 4-H Clubs 25 years.

Survivors include four sons, L.F. "Sonny" and Leon Kesler of Crawford, Miss., Donnie Kesler of Columbus, Miss., Gary Kesler of Oran, Mo.; three daughters, Inez Uhls Fiehler of Cape Girardeau, Doris Wylie of Sikeston, Mary Bohannon of Pana, Ill.; a sister, Mary McNay of Anaconda, Mont.; 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson and four brothers.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Marty Blakey officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
