AGNES J. EVANS

Agnes J. Evans, 80, 2548 Peach Tree, died Monday, July 27, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Aug. 30, 1911, at Malden, daughter of Adam A. and Addie M. Hester Littell. She married Lyman F. Evans Sept. 2, 1932, in Pocahontas, Ark.

Evans received a bachelor of science degree from Southeast Missouri State University, and master's degree from the University of Kansas. She taught at Advance, New Madrid County, and 18 years at Southeast University, retiring as assistant professor of art in 1975.

She was a member of First Baptist Church and Missouri State Teachers Association.

Survivors include a son, Robert Evans of Sacramento, Calif., and two grandchildren.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fairmount Cemetery, with the Rev. John Owen officiating.

Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. There is no visitation.
