MARBLE HILL -- Agnes C. Peters, 74, of Marble Hill died Thursday, July 30, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Nov. 4, 1917, at St. Louis, the daughter of George and Emma Laurentius Beel. On May 15, 1935, she married Charles Peters, who preceded her in death April 5, 1988...

MARBLE HILL -- Agnes C. Peters, 74, of Marble Hill died Thursday, July 30, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 4, 1917, at St. Louis, the daughter of George and Emma Laurentius Beel. On May 15, 1935, she married Charles Peters, who preceded her in death April 5, 1988.

She was a housewife and member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church at Glennon. She also was a member of the St. Anthony's Ladies Sodality.

Survivors include five sons, Albert C. Peters of St. Louis, Ted T. Peters of Marble Hill, Herman A. Peters of Cape Girardeau, Clarence J. Peters of Desoto and Ralph E. Peters of Marble Hill; a daughter, Shirley Thiele of Marble Hill; three brothers, John Beel of Massachusetts, Charles Beel of St. Louis and Edward Beel of Cape Girardeau; four sisters, Sophia Schafer of Jackson, Ruth Fluegge of Pevely, Caroline Macke of St. Louis and Laverne Winebarger of Fredericktown; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a brother and a grandchild.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, where parish prayers will be said at 7:30. A Knights of Columbus rosary will follow at 8.

Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Glennon, with Father Lewis Hejna officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
