Agnes Borgfield, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau. She was born Sept. 22, 1913, in Jackson, daughter of Frederick H. and Lillian F. Day Loos. She and Elmer Borgfield were married Feb. 8, 1931, in Jackson. He died Aug. 15, 1990...

Agnes Borgfield, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 22, 1913, in Jackson, daughter of Frederick H. and Lillian F. Day Loos. She and Elmer Borgfield were married Feb. 8, 1931, in Jackson. He died Aug. 15, 1990.

Borgfield was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. She and her husband owned and operated Borgfield Angus Farm near Sedgewickville, Mo., until 1981, when they moved to Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include two sons, Harry L. Borgfield of Festus, Mo., and Cletus Borgfield of Jackson; a daughter, Elsie Gerecke of Gordonville; a half sister, Georgia Meyer of Cape Girardeau; 10 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two great-granddaughters, three brothers, one sister, three half brothers and a half sister.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
