CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Agnes M. Bentley, 76, of Chaffee died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 5, 1926, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Alvin N. and Minnie Ann Devenport Baker. She and Harry Rand Bentley were married Nov. 26, 1957, in Houston, Texas. He died June 8, 1979.
Bentley was a bookkeeper more than 50 years, retiring in 1988. She worked at Hecht's several years, and at Gene Hawkins Realty in Springfield, Mo.
Survivors include two sons, Allen Bentley of Fort Wayne, Ind., Keith Bentley of Walnut Grove, Mo.; a daughter, Roberta Brant of Chaffee, Mo.; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kenneth Strong officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
