SCOTT CITY -- Adolph O. Dakin, 70, of Scott City, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born June 30, 1923, in Tamms, Ill., son of Jesse and Artie Bracken Dakin.

Dakin was a retired truck driver, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include two daughters, JoAnn Oshman of Jacobstown, N.J., Jane Dakin of Trenton, N.J.; a sister, Pauline Menees of Scott City, and three grandsons.

He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

Graveside service will be at 2:15 p.m. Thursday at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. The Rev. Jack Jones will officiate.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City from 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday.
