MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Addie Lee Barks, 84, of Marble Hill went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 29, 2013. She was born Aug. 21, 1928, at Glennon, Mo., to Jeff and Jewell Newcomer Winchester. She and Gilbert Buel Thiele were married Sept. 19, 1945. He passed away Oct. 22, 1985. She later married Basil Barks on Aug. 26, 1988. He passed away Jan. 6, 1995...

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Addie Lee Barks, 84, of Marble Hill went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 29, 2013.

She was born Aug. 21, 1928, at Glennon, Mo., to Jeff and Jewell Newcomer Winchester. She and Gilbert Buel Thiele were married Sept. 19, 1945. He passed away Oct. 22, 1985. She later married Basil Barks on Aug. 26, 1988. He passed away Jan. 6, 1995.

Addie was a lifelong member of Dongola Friendship Baptist Church, and a 66-year member of Order of Eastern Star 174 in Whitewater.

Survivors include a daughter, Jeffrey (Leo) Adams; a brother, Ed (Judy) Winchester; three nieces, Karen Osborne, Katherine (Bill) Hartmann and LaDonna (Terrance) Juden; five nephews, Larry (Dana) Winchester, Mike (Shelia) Winchester, Brad Winchester, Lorin Winchester and Jeff (Heather) Winchester; four stepdaughters, Judy Barks, Joyce (Bob) Korn, Janet (Steven) Harris and Wanda Ramsey; and a stepniece, Susie Robinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Claudis and Clarence; and a sister, Clarice Jones.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Dale Huff and Randy Poole officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
