EAST PRAIRIE -- Ada Bell Puyear, 91, of East Prairie died Monday, Nov. 2, 1998, at East Prairie Nursing Center. She was born Dec. 18, 1906, in Liberty, Ky., daughter of Welby and Maud Alice Young Faire. She first married Pozie Miller, who died in 1929. She later married John Herman Puyear, who died Feb. 26, 1973...

EAST PRAIRIE -- Ada Bell Puyear, 91, of East Prairie died Monday, Nov. 2, 1998, at East Prairie Nursing Center.

She was born Dec. 18, 1906, in Liberty, Ky., daughter of Welby and Maud Alice Young Faire. She first married Pozie Miller, who died in 1929. She later married John Herman Puyear, who died Feb. 26, 1973.

Puyear lived in Mississippi County most of her life, and was a member of First General Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty Bratcher of East Prairie; two stepsons, Warren Puyear of Thayer, Billie Puyear of Emmit, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Reba Hardin and Katherine Baglyos of Sikeston; and a brother, Earl Faire of East Prairie.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Ernest Brown officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
