Ada Mae Werner, 64, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, July 18, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Oct. 26, 1933, at Arbor, daughter of Floyd D. Bond and Amy G. McNeely Bond.
She married Charles R. Werner on July 19, 1957, at Cape Girardeau. He survives.
She retired as a credit clerk at JCPenney in Cape Girardeau in 1996. Prior to joining JCPenney, she was a practical nurse and dental assistant for Dr. George Farrar. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women, where she served as president and held district offices.
She is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Ann Halter of Meringandan, Queensland, Australia; two brothers, Bill Bond, New Wells and Tommy Bond of Jefferson City; and four sisters, Mary Winchester of Poplar Bluff, Shirley Russell of Memphis, Tenn., Brenda Doza of Jackson and Linda Townsan of Jacksonville, Fla.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and son.
Service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grace United Methodist Church, with Dr. Larry Gallamore officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at Ford & Sons Funeral Home Mount Auburn Chapel, from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
