METROPOLIS, Ill. -- Ada Rose Huston, 93, of Metropolis, formerly of Perks, Ill., died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at the Magnolia Manor Care Center in Metropolis.
She was born July 29, 1908, at Evensville, Ind., daughter of Lafe and Hattie Taylor Christian. She was first married to David Rose and then to Edgar Huston. Both preceded her in death.
Huston was a member of the Dongola Pentecostal Church. She was the owner of Roses General Store in Perks for several years.
Survivors include a daughter, Glenda Rose Mize of Lakeland Fla.; a sister, Glenda Brumbelow of Livingston, Texas; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death a daughter and a son.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak, Ill.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Goins officiating. Burial will be in the Odd Fellow Cemetery at Golconda, Ill.
