Aaron Watkins

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Aaron Lee Watkins, 84, of Chaffee died Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Aug. 28, 1923, at Graves County, Ky., son of Jacob Lawrence and Veatrice Ray Watkins.

Watkins was a retired truck driver employed by Thorngate Ltd. in Chaffee. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Lee McFerron of Billings, Mont., Robert Watkins of Scott City; a daughter, Patsy Luckey of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son, a grandson, a granddaughter and four brothers.

Friends may call at 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
