Rhodes 101 Convenience Store, 449 S. Kingshighway, had a grand opening Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The store opened July 1.
Spokesman Paul Dirnberger said several promotions were held for the event: prices on many food and drink items were discounted; several items of merchandise such as coolers and stuffed animals were given as door prizes; and radio station K103 did a remote broadcast from the store Saturday morning.
Tim Kimbel is the store manager. The store employs 14 people.
The store's design is a prototype for the chain. The colors, silver and maroon, will be incorporated in new and existing stores as they are remodeled.
